Dear Readers - Happy Holidays and Happy New Year (a little late is better than never)! I hope everyone had a smashing holiday season and that your New Year has been amazing so far. I had a great time during the holidays and (like last year) took a plunge into Wakulla Springs on New Year's day with friends and family! I did a lot of crafting (and a lot of shopping) over the break and found some goodies on marthastewart.com that I had so much fun making. Now that Valentine's day is right around the corner, I've started stocking up on pink and red paper, glitter, stickers, stamps, MS paper, paper punches, doilies and such. I always love looking at Martha's website this time of year because the whole site is PINK! Pink, Pink, Pink!! What is better than a whole holiday dedicated to love and pink? In my opinion? Nothing! I'm attending a ballet performance the weekend before Valentines Day and I'm wearing a vintage, pink, boat-neck dress (picture below), little "kitten" heels and an elegant string of pearls. I actually put together what I was going to wear before I bought the tickets!!
Well, the weather here lately has been awful! I really hope that this is the last of the rainy/freezing weather because I really want to be able to wear shorts and flip-flops again...or at least be able to leave the house without a heavy coat and boots. But oh well! The gorgeous weather, bathing suits, shorts, long dresses, corn-on-the-cob, dips in the pool and picnics will come soon! Bonsoir!
(please excuse the expression on my face in the picture - my mom took it very early on the morning of my birthday before I had the chance to look in the mirror!)
