cold water and cherries....

It's been a while since I've posted anything and I finally decided (after the usual guilt that I have when I haven't written in a while caught up to me) to save some time out of my busy day to sit down and write this post. This morning, my mother and I went to Wakulla Springs where the water is cold and the ice cream is colder! It's the perfect place to go on a hot steamy day like today. We had a picture perfect picnic (sandwiches, iced tea, cherries and grapes) a refreshing swim and a simply beautiful day. Oh and the chocolate ice cream was to die for!

I've also been doing a lot of sewing and drawing (my creativity has come back after a much hated dry spell). I have now made three dresses and two tops (pictures will come when I get around to taking some). If any of you are in a position where your creativity is somewhat laking, then head on over to and I feel sure that your creativity will be back from it's vacation in no time! I know mine is!

I've been having a lot of fun this summer - I've been dressing up in lots of vintage goodies (including a 60's bathing suit that I recently found - it's a treasure!), wearing LOTS of lipstick, re-reading all the harry potter books, spending time with family and (of course) watching film noir movies!
Here's my pink moment/summer's almost over/vintage picture of the day - enjoy it!
